Privilege to Travel

Not just anyone can pack up their bags and travel the world or live in another country. Consider yourself privileged if you can. It’s a privilege to be able to travel. Whether it’s a weekend trip to Disneyland or an extended vacation across the ocean; you have the privilege.

I can easily tell you to quit your job, move everything to storage and just go. It’s not that easy though. I had to save up for more than half a year to be able to travel South America for 7 months. What an amazing 7 months it has been!

Some people have others to care for such as kids or family members. Others have debts to pay before they can travel. Whatever the reason, some people don’t have to privilege to travel.

If you’re one of the few who’s able to take the opportunity to see new and exciting places consider yourself lucky.

No matter your circumstance don’t give up. Just because you can’t travel now doesn’t mean the opportunity won’t come later. Travel doesn’t always mean it has to be to another country. It can be a 3 day weekend getaway in another city. Anything that gets you out of your normal routine can do wonders for your soul.
